Restock: terms and privacy

Restock is a hackathon demo (DubHacks '26). Orders are simulated: nothing is shipped, and payments use Stripe's test mode, so no real money moves.

What Restock is

Restock is an AI assistant you text. It uses Anthropic's Claude to understand messages. Anything that spends money or changes who's in your household needs your explicit "yes".

What we store

We don't store message text. Server logs show only the last 4 digits of a phone number. Restock blocks and won't repeat card numbers, ID numbers, or other people's contact details.

Who we share it with

Photon (to deliver texts), Anthropic (to understand messages; phone numbers are removed first), and Stripe (cards and payments). Other members of your household see your name, what you added, and what you owe. They never see your phone number.

Texts

You'll get texts about your household's cart, orders, receipts and balances. Reply STOP to stop texts, HELP for help, or delete my data to leave and delete your data. Deleting also releases your Restock number at Photon, so Photon no longer links your phone to Restock, and deletes your customer record at Stripe, which removes your saved card. Stripe keeps its own records of past payments, as payment providers must. If you texted STOP, we keep that so you stay unsubscribed.
